  1. The best place to stay in Sydney! I can partake of a bit of friendly chat about: food, wine, travel, whatever, or be left entirely alone if I feel like it. The hosts’ aesthetic appreciation of houses and interiors is only outdone by their hospitable warmth.

  2. My parents stayed at Tara and loved it. We live around the corner in a tiny house - just too small for guests, so it was the perfect solution for us. Mum adored Ollie the dog and Dad and Julian found they both shared a great enthusiasm for all things Chinese. I’d recommend it to anyone after a home away from home. Zoe Jenkins

  3. What a beautiful place – we had a great couple of nights; the feel of the whole arrangement was marvellous. Warm, out of the ordinary hosts; lovely Victorian residence; privacy… come to think of it, I was just looking for good value accommodation while attending a film festival, but the whole Tara experience melded superbly with everything else!

  4. Wonderful b & b experience! Tara was the best during our three week visit of Aus & NZ. Great house in a very comfortable Sydney neighborhood that is very convenient to downtown and all it’s sights, either by bus or train. The neighborhood offers a whole array of restaurants, neighborhood grocers, wine merchants, and pubs. It’s an experience just to stay in the neighborhood, but Tara House makes it even more special! Julian and Brom are wonderful hosts.. The rooms are very spacious and airy. The bathrooms modern and immaculate. The breakfasts each morning was the best and plentiful. Can’t say enough about how they make sure you’re comfortable during your stay at Tara House!

For those that would go some times to Sydney and that would want to lodge outside the beaten paths, I propose you to discover a Guest house (Bed & Breakfast) all did likable. Although his name evokes a famous goddess Indian and Buddhist -Tara is the one that allows crossing quoted other of the sail of the illusion in which got entangled us- it is so native Ireland since it is the name of the mythical capital of the island, situated to the center of the 4 other provinces dividing the green Ireland. In fact, this beautiful one builds was constructed originally by a professor of Irish music to the 19th century. This one is located perfectly served, to 15 minutes in bus of the center city. Although in a zone pavillonnaire, the neighborhood Enmore is also a place “connected” to the numerous pubs, shops and other restaurants presenting the multiples facets of the world-wide gastronomy.

The Guest House was completely redesignée by a couple of the more charming, that is the numerical fruit of an encounter. Unmarried, they remarried thanks to Internet after discovering that they lived in 400 meters the one of the other and that their children knew each other… Art amateurs all the two, the house is a mixture of contemporary works and of a more exotic style. Besides their new activity, they were architect, cook, working in the environment of the method… The breakfasts are copious, delicious and rich in different flavors. Around the table of hosts mix with people of the entire world; the last time ate us in company of Swedish one, of Americans, d’irlandais.. By luck, we had right also what’s more a specialty of the south of India (idli).

There is for the moment 4 rooms only and although she is recent, his growing reputation obliges to do it in advance for the reservation. Practical: they come to look for you free to the airport! Count about 130-150 AUD by night (+internet/TV)
